We at MEOW will be exhibiting from, Monday, September 7, 2009 at 10:00 am to Sunday, November 8, 2009 at 4:00 pm, with an Open House on Sunday, September 13, 2009 from 12:00 pm to 4:00 pm.
There are certain responsibilities that we at MEOW have and will assume for our show at the (LQ&TC):
LQ&TC's Responsibilities' and Procedures:
1. Since they are closed on Mondays, this is when the shows are hung. Shows come down on Sunday after 4:00 pm, closing time.
2. A crew from the LQ&TC will hang our items. The exhibitor does not need to be present when the show is hung or taken down. They have safe storage in their textile repository where they can hold the show, both before and after the official opening and closing, for our convenience.
3. They will make labels for each piece in the show giving the name and description of the piece, the name of the person who made it, and other pertinent information, if brief, and the price if you wish to sell the piece.
4. There is a 35% commission on works sold during the show. The buyer can pick up pieces after the close of the show. The buyer is responsible for shipping and handling charges.
5. They often have an opening reception on the Sunday after the show opens. MEOW would be the guest of honor. If we do not this, or we cannot have people present or want different day for the reception, we can let then know.
6. The LQ&TC will not exhibit any item they feel depicts any group in a derogatory or stereotypical manner.
